THE TRUTH ABOUT GOD

1. God is A Person.
- throughout the Bible, personal pronouns are used when referring to God.
- Matt 5:45, 7:21-23, John 3:16, 15:2, 16:13


2. God is The Creator.
- He therefore could not be the same as the creation.
- Gen. 1:1, John 1:1-3, Isa. 44:24, 45:24, Heb 3:4


3. There are 3 Persons in 1 God.
- God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
- Gen. 1:26, Matt 28:19, Matt 3:16-17, Luke 1:35, Isa. 9:6, Heb 3:7-11



THE TRUTH ABOUT MAN

1. Man's basic nature is evil.- everyone is a sinner.
- Rom 3:10-12, Eph 2:3, Ps 51:5, Jer 17:9


2. Man can never become God- Though he can become a son of God, he can never become equal with God.
- Isa 43:10, 44:6-8, Hos 11:9, Num 23:19


3. Man's own efforts (good works) cannot save him.- Eph 2:8-9, Tit 3:5, Gal 2:16, Isa 64:6



THE TRUTH ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

WHO HE IS:


1. Jesus Christ is God the Son, the 2nd person of the Trinity.- John 1:1, 14:20-28, 1 Tim 3:16


2. The name of Jesus Christ is the only name given for salvation and is above every other name.- Acts 4:10, Phil 2:9-11


WHAT HE DID

1. While remaining 100% God, he became 100% man. (1 Tim 3:16)

2. He personally experienced every temptation that any man has ever known, and yet He remained completely sinless. (Heb 4:15)

3. Though He didn't deserve it, He lovingly took the punishment for man's sins upon Himself by dying on the cross, providing an opportunity for all mankind to go free. 1 Pe. 2:21-24
